Addie Bryant, Chief of Staff at Engage Cuba Coalition

Adelina "Addie" Bryant's past experience includes serving as a staff member in both the Texas House and the Texas Senate and serving as a member of the press and legislative staff for U.S. Senator Mark Warner. Addie worked on U.S. Senator Tim Kaine's successful 2012 campaign and served as Research Director for Senator Warner's successful 2014 re-election campaign. From 2008 to 2010, Addie served in the Peace Corps in El Salvador working on projects to improve education and public health. She is also a proud alumni of AmeriCorps VISTA where she served in East Los Angeles public housing.

Marvin B. Figueroa, Senior Policy Advisor, U.S. Senator Mark Warner

Marvin B. Figueroa is Senior Policy Advisor for healthcare and education policy for Senator Mark R. Warner [D-VA]. In this capacity, he advises the Senator on Medicare, Medicaid, the Affordable Care Act, and other health care issues related to his role on the Senate Finance Committee. He formerly managed the immigration policy portfolio for the Senator.

Interested in the political process and civic engagement, Figueroa has served as Deputy Political Director for the Mark Warner for Virginia reelection campaign, and is the current president of the Democratic Latino Organizations of Virginia (DLOV), a caucus that fosters the participation of Latinos within the Virginia Democratic Party, and supports candidates dedicated to advancing policies that benefit Virginia’s Latino community. 

Figueroa completed his Master’s Degree at Harvard, and his Bachelor’s from Vanderbilt University. He came to Capitol Hill through the Congressional Hispanic Caucus Institute Gates Foundation Fellowship program. He is originally from La Ceiba, Honduras, and resides in the Commonwealth of Virginia.
