On February 26, 2016, in a landmark ruling, a Guatemala court found two military officers guilty for the crimes of sexual violence and domestic and sexual slavery against 15 Maya Q'eqchi women. The civil party lawyers who worked side by side with the victims for several years building this case will speak at George Mason University about the importance of this trial in the search for truth and justice for conflict-related crimes in Guatemala.
