Lisa Breglia Presents at Max Planck Institute for Social Anthropology

In October, Global Affairs Assistant Director Dr. Lisa Breglia traveled to Halle, Germany to participate in a workshop, "World Heritage on the Ground: Ethnographic Perspectives" at the Max Planck Institute for Social Anthropology. She presented her latest research on the UNESCO World Heritage site of Chichén Itzá, located in Yucatán, Mexico. Professor Breglia discussed how the recent naming of the archaeological site to the list of the New 7 Wonders of the World acted as an impetus for regional tourism development.
