The event will feature remarks from His Excellency Harold Forsyth, Ambassador of Peru to the United States; as well as a presentation by George Mason University poet and scholar Rei Berroa who will read from his work on human rights. Against the backdrop of the powerful Yuyanapaq photography exhibit produced by the Peruvian truth commission, the reception will bring together members of the Latin American Studies and Center for Global Studies communities at Mason.
