The article, "Sins of the Past: Will All of Latin America Find Justice for Cold War Atrocities?" examines the recent trend in Latin America toward prosecuting former government officials accused of grave human rights violations during past dictatorships and conflicts. Dr. Burt, who is also director of Latin American Studies, has been conducting research on human rights prosecutions in Latin America and especially Peru, and has written widely on the topic.
